Position is CONTRACT working at Martin County Parks and Recreation SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising the Food and Beverage operations for the Martin County Sailfish Sands Restaurant and Hitting Bays. Work involves the responsibility for supervising subordinate personnel and managing operations, programming, maintenance and security of the Sailfish Sands Restaurant and Hitting Bays located on Jensen and Stuart beaches.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Efficiently supervise and operate a restaurant in accordance with the standard practices of retail operation. Manage storeroom/stockroom activities and receive and account for all merchandise handled at the facility; manage inventory control such as inventory cards, a perpetual inventory record, maintaining stock levels, and end of the month inventories. Manage vending machine program including ensuring security of vending machines, ordering of product, loading machines, retrieving money from machines, handling customer complaints and refunds, and accounting for all product and money involved on a regular or as needed basis. Maintain accurate sales and cash receipt records; maintain simple cash and sales records and prepare revenue reports. Plan, assign, and supervise the work of assigned staff in a manner conducive to work schedules which are adequate to meet fluctuations in park attendance, report on the work performance of assigned personnel. Recognize products and services which would satisfy the needs of the various types of patrons and increase sale revenue; advise administrative staff on ways and means of improving service and increasing revenue production; recommend the purchase of commodities required and vendors to supply them.
