Contract Jun 30, 2025 Environmental Services Position title: Campground Coordinator (Full Time) Location: Phipps Park: 2175 SW Locks Rd., Stuart, FL 34997 Martin County Parks and Recreation Pay: $20.00/hr. Hours: Sunday through Wednesday 9am-7:30pm This is a contract position with reSource Government Services. This is NOT a direct hire position.   Phipps Park Campground is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Campground Coordinator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the outdoors, has excellent customer service skills, is comfortable using computers and reservation software, and can handle light maintenance tasks. The Campground Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for guests and plays a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the campground. This is a rewarding opportunity to work independently in a beautiful park setting, assisting guests and helping maintain a high standard of service and safety.   Key Responsibilities Guest Services and Office Operations: · Provide friendly and professional assistance to campground guests in person, by phone, and via email · Manage reservations using the Firefly online reservation system (create, modify, cancel, refund, and extend bookings) · Process payments and manage firewood sales · Ensure campsites are vacated by 11:00 AM and ready for new arrivals · Coordinate with park administration regarding guest concerns and operational issues   Administrative and Technical Tasks: · Use Microsoft Outlook to manage email correspondence and organize messages into folders · Create, edit, digitally sign, and combine PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat · Record guest issues, incidents, and maintenance requests · Communicate with guests about reservation status and park information   Facility and Grounds Maintenance: · Perform routine maintenance such as weed trimming, leaf blowing, and light pruning · Clean restrooms between service, fire pits, grills, and campsite areas · Pick up litter and debris, including palm fronds and other natural materials · Inspect adventure tents, sewer caps, laundry areas, and boat ramps for cleanliness and functionality · Monitor and report the condition of contracted landscaping work · Distribute firewood to campsites as needed   Required Skills and Qualifications: · Strong customer service background with a professional and courteous approach · Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and online reservation software · Comfortable working with computers and handheld devices · Capable of performing light maintenance duties and using tools such as weed trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently · Team-oriented and able to collaborate with other staff when needed   Education and Experience · High school diploma or equivalent required · At least one year of customer service experience · Preferred but not required: experience in landscaping, maintenance, irrigation, plumbing, or equipment operation   Licenses and Requirements · Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License · Ability to lift up to 75 pounds · Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions · Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, kneeling, and walking long distances   Physical Demands · Must be able to use hands and arms to operate tools and controls · Occasional climbing, kneeling, stooping, or crawling required · Work involves moderate to strenuous physical activity in an outdoor environment   Emergency Duties In the event of a natural or man-made disaster, the employee may be required to perform emergency response duties as assigned.   Typical Daily Tasks · Monitor daily check-outs and send email reminders to departing guests · Prepare campsites for new arrivals · Respond to inquiries via phone, text, and email · Perform facility inspections and basic upkeep · Communicate regularly with the Park Administrator · Maintain a clean and welcoming campground environment · File incident reports and notify administration of any issues · Complete additional tasks as assigned

Contract May 19, 2025 Civil Engineering Position: Senior Project Engineer (Martin County Public Works Department) Full time, Monday -Friday hours Pay scale: Salary negotiable depending on experience + benefits and FRS options provided Must be able to pass criminal background and drug testing *MUST be licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. Summary Senior project management, civil engineering design and engineering oversight of specific Capital Improvement Plan roadway, bridge, building, storm water, parks, and utility projects.   Responsible for supervising subordinate Project Engineers, Project Managers, Construction Project Inspectors, CADD Technicians, consultants, contractors, and staff in the planning, design, and construction of capital improvement and infrastructure preservation projects.  Complex technical and professional work requires considerable contact with permitting agencies, utilities, and other County departments as well as public and private individuals and organizations. Essential Duties / Responsibilities & KSA's Supervises subordinate Project Engineers, consultants, contractors, and staff in the planning, design, and construction of capital improvement and infrastructure preservation projects. Reviews site plans, construction plans, storm water reports, geotechnical engineering reports, environmental impact reports, traffic studies, and cost estimates. Monitors construction schedules for expenditures and timeliness and compliance with capital projects budget.   Senior Project Engineer Assigned to Construction/Field Area: Responsible professional administrative and managerial construction engineering inspection (CEI) work in assisting the Capital Projects Administrator and supervising Construction engineering and inspection of CIP projects, Contract administration & management, project close out, and office staff. Assists the Capital Projects Administrator in the facilitation of Project Management, and Engineering Inspections with an emphasis on Construction Engineering and the implementation of the County's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), Administration, planning, supervision, management of all assigned construction inspections including roadway, bridge, stormwater, park, building, coastal, and utility projects in the CIP. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of the capabilities and results of AutoCADD plans and Profile Drawings, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Skill in directing the work of professional engineers, technicians, contractors, and inspectors in a manner conducive to effective performance. Education and Experience Graduation from an ABET accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, and six (6) years of experience in review, design, and/or construction of roads, drainage, subdivisions, and/or commercial developments. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. Relevant experience: PE license in the State of Florida, civil engineering, horizontal construction, wastewater, utilities and road construction management.
